“Ever since an early age my interest has been in different cultures. Archetypes which stretch from one end of the earth to the other. Patterns, layers and rhythms that join us all. In my work I want to retain the vitality of a child and the wisdom of age, believing in vulnerability and the mysteries of where it can lead to. From a young age I have been involved, and totally believe in, the importance of arts in the community and what it does for self-esteem and confidence that ricochet off into many areas of life. I could explain my work but prefer for it to speak for itself.” – Caroline Hands, August 2019
