The past 20th February in Shoreditch, London, was the highly anticipated opening of RB12, a new design space and concept store that aims to reinvigorate the London design scene with inspirational art and design, excellent quality, personal service and stimulating sensory experiences. RB12 provides a home for exquisite global design brands, many of which exclusively stocked or entirely new to the UK.

Arranged over two floors, the RB12 design space showcases a variety of design pieces for every area of the home, where original art by exciting emerging artists is an important part of the proposition.

Chrom-Art presented a selection of artworks from exciting UK based and international artists in the showroom, that are available to buy. Artists participating in this first collaboration are Arturo Garcia de las Heras, Bella Grigoryants (Berlin), Buse Tanil, DALOPO (Seville), Kris Cieslak, and KV Duong,

Muralist Luke Gray painted live, customising one of the units of the showroom, whilst artist William Hughes improvised sketches using photographs of the guests.

Chrom-Art will continue to run an arts programme in the space, based on solo and group exhibitions, to showcase local and international emerging artistic talent.

RB12 was founded by Dean Louw and Rafael Borrego, who have worked together on a number of high-end property development and interior design projects since 2012. They are joined by third founding partner Giulia Minacciolo, who brings manufacturing and commercial know-how to the table.

With backgrounds in development, design and manufacturing, the founders of RB12 understand the need to source inspirational and customisable high-quality art and design pieces. This has informed their drive to create a space to showcase and appreciate the detail and workmanship of these products. In addition, RB12 offers in-house services including product procurement, interior design, architectural planning and project management for both commercial and residential sectors, and is able to undertake and support projects of all sizes.
